SILENT THUNDER

As a coastal New Englander, I have watched the skies, observing both the beauty of their magical formations and clues of changes in the weather. Now, as I work at my desk, I am often called away by the sky.
Cloud patterns have become increasingly dramatic over the last several years. I am transfixed by this new sky, its drama, beauty, danger, and mystery. Beneath their power and beauty, these changing skies have come to stand for climate change.  The clouds carry with them an ominous and powerful foreboding.
The skies tell an elaborate story of how the actions of human beings have shaped the very atmosphere surrounding us. The Silent Thunder series shares the visual moments in which the natural world caused me to stop and wonder, and worry, about our changing planet.
